Reviews about Nortech Computers

  • 2018-01-24, by James William Steven Parker
UPDATE 03/10/2017: Regarding my initial post below, I'm glad to announce that the manager of Nortech contacted me and the issue was professionally resolved in a prompt manner. For this reason, I've updated my post and review to accurately reflect this. My perception of Nortech changed knowing they tackled this issue. The dispute is now seeming resolved and I'll keep Nortech updated of any changes. --- A horrid experience. We brought my sisters laptop into Nortech that wouldn't display anything on is screen, they charged EXCESSIVE fees for their labour, and charged us to send off for a 'replacement' screen, only to find NONE OF IT WORKED. They gave back the laptop to my sister, charged her hundreds of pounds, and hadn't resolved the problem at all. Not only was the price hugely excessive, but furthermore, their documents claimed the 'hard-drive (the device that stores all your files) was broken' and needed replacing, their documents stated that frequently. We had it PROFESSIONALLY TESTED and there was NOTHING wrong with it, like seriously. It was in such good working order in fact, we continued to use the laptop WITHOUT THE SCREEN by simply plugging a monitor in it. I feel they've taken my little sister for a financial ride when all she wanted was a simple screen repair. It cost a girl spending the little money she had hundreds of pounds of excessive labour charges, a failed screen replacement, false and inaccurate information about 'other damaged hardware', and the issue being completely unresolved. This emotionally destroyed my sister for that week as the money she had, she needed; and was trolled by a bunch of shoddy technicians. Nortech may read this review, and I bet the issue will continue to be unresolved without them wanted to charge excessive amounts to repair the device. I've read the Consumer Act and you have a duty of service to provide her what she paid for, or you must provide a discount or full refund.
